Evidence of Impact

Survey results showed a boost in student confidence and a positive change in student perceptions of theories of intelligence.

Practices Worthy of Attention: Academic Youth Development Initiative: Students showed significant changes in theories of intelligence and attitudes toward learning strategies after the completion of the 14-day summer course, based on surveys taken at the beginning and end of the program. A significant percentage of students reported that they felt in charge of their own learning. Additionally, students reported a decrease in anxiety over failure in mathematics.
